C. Development
In the development phase, we integrate conceptual design with production realities. We investigate a variety of manufacturing processes and determine what effect each would have on final function; form, and cost. Some of the jobs need to be done include:
-Product graphics / CAD illustrations
-Tooling analysis
-Parts drawing for specification control
-Product requirement documentation
 
D. Engineering and production implementation
Suppliers are brought into the development process to discuss and assure a smooth and quick transition to production. We develop a matrix to assure coordination of tolerances, specifications, and production schedules. This process assures a long term comprehensive manufacturing plan. Following steps may be included in the process:
-Tolerance analysis
-Testing / Approval for quality standard (BIFMA or customer’s requirement)
-Production document (Bill of material / Assembly drawings / operation menu / Quality standard)
-Design for manufacturing / Assembly / Packing
-Material search and selection
-Parts and tooling cost and analysis
